The fans at ANN feel this is deserving of a 6.

I found it to be a bit more interesting and the harem/fanservice didn't seem to matter or at least it didn't turn me off. They could have done a better job with this story but in view of what the had in terms of time and characters it works and it's kind of fun to watch. I feel it's worth a 7.5, in addition to the "more cute than fanservice" fanservice, there's some interesting ideas swirling around in the little anime.
I think it would be interesting to take this plot to a couple more steps of improvement and make a totally killer anime of it, I doubt that it would come to pass.
