The first time I saw this show, I was thinking that "I.S." was for "idiotic shit". Do not misunderstand me . . .
. . . I kind of liked what I was looking at but I knew in the first five minutes of the first episode that this was
a "harem anime" based on the one of the most simple-minded ideas,
"our hero is the only guy in the whole world, that can do this job."
It is made less of an obstinate idea because, although our "guy" is the only guy in the world who can fly the machine,
ANY woman in the world can fly the machine too.
Yup, the girls have the upper hand to start with . . .
. . . for me, that makes this whole show "watchable".
The girls are illustrated nice and yummi looking,
and the rest of the production and character designs are nice to look at and moderately unique.
The story is not totally hackneyed and trite but I can see where some would find it . . .
. . . annoying, to put it nicely.
The fans at AniDB & ANN seem to think it's worth about a 6.5...
Crunchyrollers seem to worship this one with a 4.7 of 5
but I've come to expect that.
Personally I have to give this a 7...
I know . . . it's kind of lame in some places and it has a couple of glaring continuity issues but it's fun to watch...
